Tagami, a once successful manager of a manga distribution has run out of luck and now he must catch a mysterious high-speed fly within 6 days to regain it back.
Like _One Cut of the Dead_, _Popran_ has moments of brilliance and yet never fully capitalizes on the concept of a man’s penis willingly leaving his body and flying around the city. It’s absurd and unique in a way, so it’s disappointing that the film ends in such predictable fashion. The idea is solid, but the humor and the storytelling feel rushed. _Popran_ is a half-mast comedy that never allows its audience to properly climax with laughter.
